Litigation and Dispute Resolution
Davis Wright Tremaine engages in a sophisticated administrative
procedure and litigation practice. The firm regularly obtains advisory
opinions and private letter rulings from governmental agencies,
including the Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission,
the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and the Internal
Revenue Service, as well as comparable state agencies. The attorneys
in the health law administrative practice frequently serve as hearing
officers and advocates in credentialing and peer review proceedings,
and represent clients before the national Provider Reimbursement
Review Board (PRRB) and the JCAHO. The firm also assists clients
in arbitration proceedings to resolve contractual disputes.
