Davis Wright Tremaine’s Ron Cai Honored by Lewis & Clark Law School

PORTLAND, ORE., May 2, 2007 – Davis Wright Tremaine LLP partner Ron Cai has received the “Distinguished Business Law Graduate” honor from Lewis & Clark Law School. The business law faculty presented Cai with the award yesterday at their 12th annual Spring luncheon.

Cai, who graduated with honors from the Lewis & Clark Law School in 1990, is the partner-in-charge of the firm’s Shanghai, China office and has been practicing international law with a focus on foreign investment in China with DWT for the past seven years. Cai has extensive experience representing global clients in transactional and litigation matters in the areas of corporate and business law. He is also a prolific author and frequent speaker on Chinese and American business matters, ranging from international intellectual property issues to contract negotiations, and transnational mergers and acquisitions.

A member of the Oregon, Washington and District of Columbia Bars, Cai has served in executive board positions with the Washington State China Chamber of Commerce and the Northwest Chinese Hi-Tech Professionals Association.

In addition to his JD degree from Lewis & Clark Law School, Cai also received an LL.M. from Columbia Law School and an LL.B. with honors from Xiamen University School of Law in China. He is fluent in English, Mandarin and Taiwanese.
