DWT’s Summer Associate Program gives our summer associates an opportunity to explore a variety of practice areas, gain legal experience and training, discover the culture of our office and come away with an accurate picture of what it means to be a lawyer at DWT.

We seek individuals with the potential to succeed as DWT associates. Our Summer Associate Program is an integral part of our hiring process and the primary source for identifying qualified candidates for first-year associate positions. When to Apply

Our Summer Program Committee meets regularly with summer associates to provide ongoing training and feedback. In addition to support from committee and staff members, each summer associate is paired with mentors. These individuals help summer associates understand the structure of our firm, learn what it takes to succeed at DWT and offer advice on how to utilize the firm's resources. read more

Summer associates receive exposure to a variety of practice groups. They work on challenging projects ranging from legal research and preparation of memoranda, pleadings, contracts and other legal documents to attendance at depositions, hearings, trials and client conferences. read more

A schedule of social events is designed to help summer associates become familiar with the DWT culture and community. These events have included backyard barbeques, hiking, music and theater performances, cooking classes, sporting events, white-water rafting and trips to local attractions. read more
