Our Summer Program Committee meets regularly with summer associates to provide ongoing training and feedback. In addition to support from committee and staff members, each summer associate is paired with mentors. These individuals help summer associates understand the structure of our firm, learn what it takes to succeed at Davis Wright Tremaine and offer advice on how to utilize the firm’s resources. The firm provides training programs specifically designed for summer associates, along with opportunities to attend practice group and pro bono training sessions, observe trials and hearings, and work with supervising attorneys on real client projects.
The Summer Associate Committee monitors projects and provides evaluations as assignments are completed. Each summer associate receives two formal reviews, one at midsummer and one during an exit interview. |
