SEATTLE, JUNE 14, 2013 – For the third year in a row, Davis Wright Tremaine LLP has been awarded Gold Certification by the Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF), recognizing the significant number of women in top leadership positions at the firm.

WILEF, a nationally recognized educational venue for women in the largest law firms and corporate law departments, awarded Gold Certification to just 42 firms nationwide this year.

“Diversity is a core value at our firm—and an imperative for the legal profession,” said Dave Baca, managing partner at Davis Wright Tremaine. “We are proud to have women serving as partners-in-charge, as practice group leaders, as the chairs of our Executive and Attorney Evaluation Committees, and in many other leadership roles. We take this honor from WILEF as inspiration to do more, and we congratulate WILEF for its ongoing work highlighting this critical issue.”

WILEF Certification emphasizes the leadership roles achieved by equity women partners, rather than the policies or practices of the firm. Law firms with 200 or more practicing lawyers in the U.S. are eligible for the Gold Certification if they meet at least four of six criteria. Davis Wright met five.
