Join The Real Property Probate and Trust Section for plenary sessions exploring updates, challenges, successes, and new approaches. From there, the event will then split into the usual two tracks, Real Property and Probate/Trust, for more tailored, area-specific sessions.

On Sunday, partner James Greenfield will present "Tax Increment Financing - A Powerful and Newly Improved Tool for Real Estate and Economic Development Public-Private Partnerships." This presentation provides real estate practitioners with a working knowledge of Washington's newer tax increment financing statute – Ch. 39.114 RCW, to capture tax revenues from real estate development to finance public infrastructure supporting that development. Learn the basic legal principles of Washington public finance for economic development, receive a detailed analysis of the new Tax Increment Financing statute (including what kinds of improvements it can finance, its limitations and processes for implementation) and hear about some of the current project around the state utilizing this new financing tool.
