DWT AI Team Partner Robin Nunn to Explore AI Legal Issues at the National Bar Association’s Annual Convention
Robin Nunn, a member of the DWT AI team and partner in Davis Wright Tremaine’s financial services group will be speaking on a panel focused on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at the upcoming National Bar Association’s (NBA) 93rd Annual Convention July 28 – August 3, 2018 in New Orleans. The NBA Annual Convention & Exhibits is the largest gathering of African-American lawyers, judges and law students in the United States, and the premier showcase to establish professional relationships, discuss trending legal, social justice and economic issues.
The theme of this year’s event is “Protecting our Progress by Building the Future.” Robin will join colleagues from Microsoft for a presentation titled, “Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning – The Future Computed” on Monday, July 30 at 9:00am.
The panel title should come as no surprise to those that have been following Microsoft’s leadership on AI. Earlier this year Microsoft published a book titled, The Future Computed: Artificial Intelligence and its role in Society. DWT AI partners Lawton Penn and Bonnie MacNaughton, citing Microsoft’s book, provide insight on the opportunities and challenges that the development and application of artificial intelligence technologies will bring on DWT’s Artificial Law Advisor blog.
