Los Angeles

We believe in active community involvement. It’s about giving back, making a contribution and impacting the local Los Angeles area. Not only do we donate to certain organizations, but our attorneys and staff give their time. Every year we participate in community events; clothing drives, blood drives, walks/runs, food bank donations, and much more. Our office prides itself on its involvement in the community.

Featured Stories:

Food from the Bar – Los Angeles Regional Food Bank
The competition motivates, the mission inspires. In the spring, law firms in the Los Angeles area compete to raise funds and food donations for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. We get six weeks to give our time and resources to the organization. DWT supports this cause by collecting food and going to the Food Bank to assist in packaging items. We work together building camaraderie while giving to this worthy cause.

Justice Jog - GLA ALA
Whether by running or walking, ten DWT employees showed their team spirit and dedication to a worthy cause by participating in the annual 5K Justice Jog in Century City. DWT supported this event in 2011 through raising funds and participating in the run/walk. The Justice Jog is hosted by the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators and helps raise funds for a designated charity each year. This past year the event supported CASA, the Court Appointed Special Advocates for children.

Friends of the Los Angeles County Law Library
“So much legal research is done electronically nowadays, but I still love books.” Library advocacy is not often heard of today since many think libraries are out-of-date. Los Angeles partner Terri Keville believes there’s one in particular worth supporting - the 120 year-old civic institution of the Los Angeles County Law Library, the second largest public law library in the country. For the past five years, Terri has fought for its preservation through community outreach and fundraising with the Friends of the Los Angeles County Law Library. She currently serves as the chair of the organization ensuring this valuable resource for the legal community remains intact.
