Evelyn Wang

Evelyn Wang represents clients in state and federal courts on cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour class actions, and other employment-related claims. Evelyn also handles employment matters before federal and state administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, and the Department of Fair Employment and Housing.

In her counseling practice, Evelyn advises clients on personnel policy and handbook development, compliance with wage and hour laws, and managing state and federal leave laws.

Representative Experience

Single-plaintiff employment representation

Representing clients in health care, financial, entertainment, public media, and hospitality industries in single-plaintiff actions involving claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, failure to accommodate, and failure to engage in the interactive process. (Ongoing)

Noe, et. al. v. Sarnoff, et. al.

Representing national concessions and entertainment clients in wage and hour class action brought on behalf of concessionaires at various sport arena locations in California alleging they were improperly classified as independent contractors and other claims. (L.A. Cty (Cal.) Super. Ct. 2017)

Lenge v. Charter Communications

Won summary judgment in wrongful termination case involving claims of disability discrimination, failure to accommodate, and retaliation. Employee-plaintiff had dyslexia and was terminated after refusing to return from medical leave. Court found plaintiff’s complaint failed on all seven claims. (C.D. Cal. 2013)

Pre-litigation settlement

Obtained favorable settlement for client in matter involving sexual harassment, discrimination, wrongful termination, and wage and hour violations. (2013)
