Nicholas A. Kampars

Nick Kampars is a trial lawyer. He has tried ten cases to a jury and has managed hundreds of others to successful resolution both inside and outside the courtroom. Nick’s clients operate in a wide range of industries and he regularly litigates claims of product liability, trade secret misappropriation, breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty, as well as claims arising out of employment relationships. Nick has also litigated several disputes involving closely held businesses.

Over his career, Nick has developed expertise representing food companies in outbreak and contamination cases around the country, including individual consumer cases and class actions. Nick also advises these clients on regulatory compliance and risk management.

Represented member of limited liability company in two-week trial involving claims of breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty. (Clackamas Cnty. (Or.) Cir. Ct. 2015)

Bent Image Lab v. Refuge VFX LLC

Represented plaintiff in claims of breach of fiduciary duty and misappropriation, concerning images used in television series "Grimm" and others. Matter successfully resolved. (Multnomah Cnty. (Or.) Cir. Ct. 2014)

Assisted Living Concepts, Inc. v. Assisted Living Facilities, Inc.

Represented owner of several assisted living facilities against claims of breach of contract. Obtained favorable settlement on the eve of trial. (D. Or. 2012)

Mosleh v. Whole Foods Market

Defended claims of assault, conversion, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Prevailed on motion to dismiss. (D. Or. 2010)

Amerivest Financial, LLC v. Pacific Northwest Title and Escrow Company, et al.

Defended Pacific Northwest Title against claims under Oregon Securities Act and for allegedly aiding and abetting breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, and breach of contract. Obtained jury verdict in favor of Pacific Northwest Title after two-week trial. Affirmed on appeal. Case No. A144457 (June 4, 2014)
