Margaret Au has over 25 years of experience in the area of intellectual property and specializes in trademarks. She has extensive experience managing global portfolios in all aspects of the trademark practice, including clearance, prosecution, portfolio management, enforcement, and licensing.

Before joining DWT, Margaret spent more than 10 years with Microsoft's in-house legal department and was responsible for compliance management, legal risk assessment, and mitigation of high-profile, high-risk, short-fused projects for global businesses. She also served as a strategic advisor to branding and marketing clients on matters of global brand management, core messaging, and name development.
