Tyler is a member of the firm's litigation practice group where he represents clients in complex civil litigation. Prior to joining DWT, he practiced law in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's Corps where he served in various roles, culminating as the principal legal advisor for a brigade. In that role, Tyler provided oversight and advised on internal criminal, financial, and employment investigations.

During his time with the U.S. Army, Tyler litigated civil and criminal cases and advised commanders on complex regulatory matters. Tyler was ranked the top officer of his grade and the best attorney across two legal divisions. He received numerous commanders' awards for excellence in legal support.


Practice Highlights

Civil and criminal litigation

Litigated numerous civilian employment cases before federal agencies and successfully negotiated employment settlements. Prosecuted criminal cases in military and federal courts, including as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Washington.

Investigations and enforcement

Oversaw hundreds of law enforcement and internal investigations into criminal, employment, and regulatory matters. Advised commanders on investigation results and appropriate enforcement responses.

Regulatory compliance

Provided timely, accurate, and prudential advice to military commanders on regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance by military units. Created new frameworks for compliance and improved existing protocols.
