David A. Ernst
Partner
I have learned a great deal from my food industry clients. I believe that makes me a trusted industry partner, not just a food lawyer.
David Ernst is considered one of the country’s leading food safety industry lawyers. For over 25 years, he has helped guide food and beverage industry clients through pathogen outbreaks. David represents national restaurant chains, food manufacturers, and distributors in food outbreak crisis response, as well as in nationwide food litigation. He has litigated or advised on more than 2,500 matters in 30 states, including Listeria, E. coli, Hepatitis A virus, Salmonella, and COVID-19 outbreaks. David also has significant experience in food safety commercial and consumer class action litigation.
