Sam Fox helps DWT clients bring their products to market. Prior to joining the firm, Sam served as lead counsel for Arizona's fintech Sandbox—the first such program in the country—giving Sam a regulator's perspective on new and novel financial products and services. That experience allows Sam to anticipate and mitigate the legal and operational challenges that innovative companies face.
In addition to his regulatory background, Sam has litigated consumer protection–related matters as an enforcement attorney in the Arizona Attorney General's Office. Equipped with knowledge of the fintech ecosystem and enforcement experience, Sam helps clients interact with regulators and develop compliance frameworks that help manage risk in a dynamic sector.

Lead counsel for Arizona Fintech Sandbox
Evaluated applications to the Arizona Fintech Sandbox, advised the committee regarding applications, and implemented the admission requirements and monitoring program. Represented the Arizona Attorney General's Office on the state legislature's Study Committee on Blockchain and Cryptocurrency, in the American Consumer Financial Innovation Network, and in the Global Financial Innovation Network.
