Laurie Gero works in intellectual property prosecution, with an emphasis on patents. Her prior experience in intellectual property litigation allows her to provide a unique perspective when assisting in prosecution.

Laurie's areas of focus include: 

  • Analyze and review patent and trademark portfolios for accuracy and strategy
  • Prepare and file domestic patent and trademark filings with the USPTO and/or state agencies; oversee prosecution through allowance, issuance, and maintenance
  • Prepare and file International applications under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT); oversee foreign prosecution formalities from filing through grant
  • Research filing requirements in various countries to determine most effective patent prosecution strategy
  • Act as a liaison between attorneys, clients, examiners, and foreign counsel
  • Research procedures and fascilitate filings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB)
