Jesse J. Jacobe

Jesse Jacobe has more than 10 years of paralegal experience supporting litigators within a broad spectrum of practices in various federal and state courts and government agencies. His focus is on energy regulatory matters involving electric, natural gas, hydroelectric, and renewable energy before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), the U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeal, and various state regulatory commissions. He joined the firm in 2017.
Jesse's areas of focus include:
- Mergers and acquisitions of utilities, asset acquisitions, and divestitures
- Electric generation interconnection and construction transactions, tariffs, contracts, and regulatory compliance with federal and state regulations
- Performs daily case monitoring of dockets, hearings, agency meetings, and issuances of new precedent setting opinions involving energy
- Organizes and maintains legal documents and files for regulatory, appellate, and other matters
- Drafts, proofreads, cite checks, and files tariffs, service agreements, contracts, motions, applications, and appellate briefs for matters before FERC, federal and state courts, and state commissions including the New York Public Service Commission (NYPSC), New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU), Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PAPUC), Maryland Public Service Commission (MDPSC), and the Public Service Commission of the District of Columbia (DCPSC), such as applications to sell electricity and natural gas
- Conducts legal research and drafts legal analysis on complex regulatory and federal issues for various practice groups
- Lexis Nexis- and West Law-Certified
- Reviews e-discovery documents for responsiveness and privilege with Relativity, Concordance, and Summation software
- Trial preparation with Trial Director, CaseNotebook, CaseMap, and TextMap Software
