Barbara S. Jost
Partner
Having practiced before the FERC and the federal courts of appeal for more than 40 years, Barbara Jost has litigated dozens of pipeline rate and certificate cases on behalf of producers, industrials, electric and gas utilities, generators, state commissions, and municipal entities. She also advises on natural gas sales and transportation contract issues, and on natural gas tariff and operational issues such as capacity release, modernization trackers, gas quality and interchangeability, right-of-way disputes, safety, siting, environmental impacts, and compliance with FERC rules prohibiting energy market manipulation. She also has experience on hydroelectric licensing matters both before the FERC and in the federal courts of appeal.
Barbara provides advice on resolving regulatory disputes and assistance in energy transactions to energy clients nationwide. Her breadth of experience enables her to efficiently troubleshoot potential issues not only for active-energy market participants but also businesses and other entities that have a lower level of involvement with federal energy regulation.
