Lance Koonce practices at the intersection of content and technology. He specializes in intellectual property and media, and he has two decades of experience helping clients analyze and successfully address the implications of emerging--and converging--technologies.

As a litigator, Lance has 20 years of experience trying complex IP, First Amendment, false advertising, and trade-secret cases in state and federal courts, including jury trials. He counsels clients from startups to Fortune 500 companies, in industries including publishing, music, television/film, advertising, consumer products, and software. Lance leads DWT’s cross-disciplinary blockchain practice and is a member of the firm’s artificial intelligence group. He writes and speaks frequently on IP and technology issues, including blockchain technology, AI, and digital privacy. He is the founder of the Creative Blockchain blog, co-chair of the subcommittee on Intellectual Property and Privacy of the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance’s Legal Industry Working Group, and co-chair of the Law & Technology section of the New York County Lawyers Association.
