Rochelle L. Wilcox
Partner
Vice Chair, Appellate Litigation Practice
Rochelle Wilcox is an appellate lawyer because she loves to tell a compelling story. Whether it’s a big-picture argument about the foundational role of the press in the U.S. Constitution, a nuanced explanation of the ideals and core principles protected and advanced by California’s ground-breaking anti-SLAPP statute, or a more personal tale about the series of events that forced an employer to terminate a long-term employee, she brings her love of writing to every brief. And then she combines her passion for storytelling with the deep and broad understanding of the law that she and other DWT lawyers bring with them to every case, to ensure that the court understands our clients’ perspective and wants to rule in their favor. That’s how we win in California’s courts, time and again.
She knows you’re busy. She knows every case matters. She’ll work on your timeline, to give you a brief you’ll love when you need it, and make the appellate process as effective, efficient and transparent as possible. Because she also knows that you have many choices for appellate counsel, she will do her best to make sure you come back to DWT whenever you end up in the court of appeal.
