Events + Happenings

We invite you to connect Project W at upcoming events as well as take a look at some of our past projects and collaborations. We take every opportunity we can to engage in conversations that advance the cause of women and underserved communities.

Upcoming Events

10.25.18 - DWT's New York Office Hosts Women in Nonprofit (WiN): Meet, Mingle and Be Inspired, 6:00 p.m.
Join us - and bring your colleagues - for a special evening of wine, cheese, networking and a fireside chat with Noorain Khan, program officer at the Ford Foundation and board member of the Association of American Rhodes Scholars, Libraries Without Borders, and Girl Scouts of the USA, about the importance of women serving on boards of directors and in other leadership roles.

Past Events

Project W hosted Alicia Syrett's Point 25 Initiative in March 2018, a project designed to connect rising female founders with accomplished women entrepreneurs and executives who might serve as advisors.

In collaboration with Springboard Enterprises, Project W has presented five Dolphin Tank pitch sessions: in Seattle featuring HealthTech; in New York featuring MediaTech, FashionTech, and FinTech companies; in Washington, D.C. featuring health and wellness companies; and in San Francisco, featuring social impact companies.

Our FemTech Leaders meetups bring together women in financial services and technology to discuss topics ranging from the importance of male sponsors, the challenges FinTech companies face in partnering with financial institutions to insights from women investors on investing in women-led companies.

Project W has proudly sponsored the important work of SheWorx since its inception, including the 2017 SheWorx 100 Summits in New York City and in San Francisco.

WEB 2017 brought together 24 accomplished women entrepreneurs from many different industries for a day of interactive skill-building and learning with a faculty of thought-leaders and leading investors. View video.

Women who manage and work for nonprofits and who serve on their boards are making an incomparable contribution to our society, and Project W is honored to bring those women together through our WiN network in New York and Washington, D.C.
