Haldane Davies counsels clients on a wide range of energy-related issues encompassing generation, transmission infrastructure, energy and environmental permitting (including mining, solar, natural gas, and wind projects), and supply chain regulations.
Haldane has represented clients before public and state utility commissions and has advocated before state legislatures on issues related to net metering, distributed generation, transmission infrastructure, and grid modernization. Haldane has drafted FERC comments pertaining to PURPA reform, as well as legal and regulatory memoranda to the Departments of the Interior and Transportation regarding exemptions, permitting, EIS publication, NOI publication, and project approval.

Counseled large mining and wind companies on obtaining environmental permits.
Public policy
Testified before multiple state legislatures, both in person and through written testimony. Helped secure veto by New Hampshire governor of adverse legislation. Provided comments on grid modernization to Georgia Public Service Commission. Represented utilities and a national consumer organization before the Michigan Senate Committee for Science and Technology on issues related to net metering reform.
