Stevin George counsels technology clients in software licensing agreements and in other technology transactions. Prior to joining DWT, Stevin was a corporate and securities associate at an international law firm where he advised clients ranging from startups to multinational corporations on issues involving domestic and cross-border M&A, reorganizations and restructurings, business entity formations, and due diligence. A lifelong puzzle solver, he enjoys helping clients address their technology challenges in order to scale and foster growth.

Practice Highlights

M&A

Represented clients in investment and M&A deals, and reviewed and tracked due diligence materials for buy-side and sell-side M&A deals of up to $300MM; over 50% of involved M&A deals from the tech sector; and coordinated with specialists to resolve technical and open source licensing issues in deal documents.

Securities

Prepared and reviewed public filings for life sciences companies (especially clinical-stage gene therapy companies and established biopharmaceutical companies), consumer space technology platforms, and cloud software solutions companies, as well as an IPO; and prepared and reviewed other related documents (such as investor materials).

Startup and emerging companies

Advised startup and emerging technology companies on IP-related contractual provisions.
