MAY 10, 2013 – Kelli Sager, a partner in the Los Angeles office of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, has been named one of the Top Women Lawyers in California by the Daily Journal, a leading legal newspaper. Sager has been on the list every year since it was first instituted in 2005.

The annual list is compiled to honor and celebrate outstanding women attorneys who are leaders in the legal community.

The Daily Journal singled out Sager’s work this past year defending A&E Television Networks in a high-profile suit alleging that an episode of the A&E reality series "Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp" had violated the publicity rights of a bar patron who appeared in the episode. On behalf of A&E and the show’s producers, Sager successfully filed a SLAPP motion, and her clients were awarded more than $65,000 in attorneys' fees.

The publication also took note of Sager's work defending Electronic Arts against claims challenging the game-maker’s alleged use of real-life athletes’ personas in its products.

Last month, Sager was named to the Daily Journal's list of Top 75 IP Litigators, and in September she was named to the publication's list of Top 100 Lawyers in California, an honor she has received ten times. Earlier this year, Sager was named one of just three "Star Individuals" in Nationwide First Amendment Litigation by Chambers USA.
