DEC. 11, 2013 – Davis Wright Tremaine LLP has been named "Law Firm of the Year" by the Association of Media and Entertainment Counsel (AMEC), whose members represent leading in-house counsel in the media and entertainment industry.
The award will be presented at AMEC’s ninth Counsel of the Year Awards in Los Angeles on Friday, January 10. The event will also honor numerous in-house counsel in different categories.

The recognition from AMEC follows other accolades this year for the media, entertainment and intellectual property team at Davis Wright. The firm received the 2013 Award for Excellence in the Media practice area from Chambers USA, a national honor designating Davis Wright as the firm that “has excelled above all others.” Davis Wright was also named "Law Firm of the Year" in both First Amendment Litigation and Copyright Law by U.S. News and Best Lawyers.
In September, the firm partnered with AMEC to present the first annual DOWNLOAD, a full-day legal conference in New York that covered evolving issues triggered by digital technologies.
