AUGUST 6, 2024 – Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is among the top-scoring firms and companies on the 2024 Disability Equality Index, earning the firm recognition as a "Best Place To Work for Disability Inclusion" for the third straight year.

The Disability Equality Index, a joint initiative of Disability:IN and the American Association of People With Disabilities, is a benchmarking tool designed to help employers measure and improve their disability inclusion policies. Points are awarded in five categories, including factors such as culture, employment benefits and recruitment, and community engagement.

Employers can receive a score of up to 100, with those scoring above 80 earning the "Best Place To Work" distinction. Davis Wright scored 90 – an increase of 10 points from the year before, due in part to the hard work of Davis Wright's human resources team in adding additional accessibility and accommodation benefits to the firm's policies.

Among Davis Wright's inclusion initiatives are the firm's Abilities & Allies employee resource group and an education series around National Disability Employment Awareness Month that explores disability as a key component of workplace diversity. These efforts are supported by the firm's four-pillar framework – Community, Growth, Education, and Engagement – a key part of Davis Wright's five-year, firmwide strategic plan that seeks to embed DEI across the organization in a sustainable and meaningful way.
