May 26, 2026 – Two partners in the nationally renowned entertainment practice at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP—Peter Anderson and Nicolas Jampol—have been named to the Daily Journal's 2026 list of Top 100 Intellectual Property Lawyers in California.

The Journal called Anderson "among the most consequential attorneys in music copyright defense" and "a go-to lawyer for leading artists facing claims that could reshape the boundaries of creative ownership." The paper noted his recent victories on behalf of Mariah Carey, Cher, and Lil Nax X, and the ongoing influence of some of his previous seminal wins.

Jampol's client roster, the Journal wrote, "reads like a who's who of the entertainment world." The Journal highlighted his recent successful defense of the hit series "Yellowjackets" and M. Night Shyamalan's "Servant," saying he's "produced results in some of the industry's most prominent copyright disputes." Jampol's practice, said the Journal, is "built on the conviction that clear, committed counsel—not hedged analysis—is what the entertainment industry's most creative voices need when their work comes under fire."
