AUGUST 18, 2026 – Davis Wright Tremaine LLP today announced a significant expansion of its artificial intelligence capabilities through firmwide access to Harvey, a leading AI platform designed for legal work, and Microsoft Copilot, an AI-powered productivity tool integrated across Microsoft 365.

The investment is part of DWT's strategy to integrate secure, responsible AI into legal and business workflows. The firm aims to achieve a 90% adoption rate and rank among the top quartile of law firms using AI to improve how work is performed and delivered.

"AI is rapidly changing both the practice of law and our clients' expectations," said Jaime Drozd, managing partner of DWT. "By combining technology designed specifically for legal work with enterprise productivity tools, we are giving our lawyers and business professionals new ways to work more efficiently, apply their judgment to the most complex challenges, and create greater value for clients."

Harvey will provide DWT lawyers and legal professionals with capabilities for drafting, research, review, analysis, and document-intensive workflows. The platform is designed to support faster turnaround, more consistent work product, deeper analysis, and greater budget predictability while keeping professional judgment and verification central to the process.

Microsoft Copilot is available across the firm within applications including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. It helps users summarize information, analyze data, draft content, access organizational knowledge, and identify insights from the emails, meetings, chats, and files they are authorized to use.

DWT also is adopting Microsoft's AI Frontier Suite, powered by Microsoft 365 E7, as a secure enterprise foundation for AI governance and future capabilities. Beginning in early 2027, the suite is expected to support Copilot Agents and Copilot Cowork, enabling users to automate routine processes and coordinate multistep work across Microsoft 365 while retaining control over key decisions and approvals.

The expansion builds on DWT's established program for responsible AI use, including rigorous security review, governance, training, and supervision by legal professionals. DWT has been a recognized leader in AI innovation.

"Technology is most valuable when it strengthens judgment rather than replacing it," Drozd said. "Our goal is to equip our people to spend less time on routine tasks and more time solving difficult problems, advancing client objectives, and designing better ways to deliver legal services."
