OCT. 26, 2026 — Davis Wright Tremaine LLP has been shortlisted for the 2026 Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Awards North America in the category of Innovation in Technology for Clients.

The FT recognized DWT for transforming how high-volume legal work is delivered for some of the world's largest companies. The firm has spent years refining an operating model designed to handle repetitive legal workflows more efficiently and has now integrated DWT Celeris, a specialized AI system developed in-house specifically for this type of work, into that model.

"DWT Celeris has lowered cost per matter, sped up cycle times, reduced the burden on in-house lawyers, and provided more data for business decision-making," said Seattle-based partner Jim Howard, who leads the project. "The technology is exciting, but the real goal is simple: deliver better results while making our clients' lives easier. We're proud the FT recognized that work."

The team behind this industry-leading service also includes senior program manager Alon Day, director of knowledge management Amber Geary, senior applications architect Christophe Humbert, and senior AI program director Sam Bernstein.

The winners of the FT Innovative Lawyers Awards will be announced in December.
