Carolyn Chambers was a titan of business in Oregon. In a recent article, the Eugene Register-Guard checked in on the Chambers family to see how it was doing with her many business interests a few years after her passing. With so many family businesses struggling to make successful transitions from one generation to another, the Chambers family stands out as a model of success.

Mrs. Chambers was survived by three children with her first husband and two with her second husband, yet despite the number of interests, the family has smoothly and successfully divided up businesses and responsibilities. Many of Mrs. Chambers’ business interests are still running and, in fact, thriving, under the new generation’s leadership.
