Joe Weinstein is the “Lawyer of the Year” for Family Business Law in Seattle

The current, 24th edition of The Best Lawyers in America (2018) is compiled from detailed, confidential evaluations of lawyers by other lawyers. Based on those surveys, Best Lawyers designates a single “Lawyer of the Year” in each of several high-profile specialties in major legal markets. One attorney is given the honor in each practice, in each market.

For the third year in a row, Davis Wright Tremaine’s Joe Weinstein has been named 2018’s “Lawyer of the Year” in Seattle for Closely Held Companies and Family Business Law.

Joe represents companies in corporate structuring, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and other family business related transactions. He focuses particularly on transactions involving family or closely held businesses, private equity funds, and international businesses. Joe has substantial experience in food-related industries and assists clients with the purchase, sale and finance of such companies. He was named 2012 Seattle “Lawyer of the Year” in M&A Law and has been consistently nominated as a “Super Lawyer” since 2006.

Joe’s clients include: Trident Seafoods, Endeavour Capital, GenNx360, Northwest Capital Appreciation, Joshua Green Corp., and Westward Seafoods, Inc.
