"Local Zoning Challenges: Reports from the Front Lines," 2009 Wireless Infrastructure Show

Davis Wright Tremaine attorney Scott Thompson presented "Local Zoning Challenges: Reports from the Front Lines," a panel at the 2009 Wireless Infrastructure show organized by the Personal Communications Industry Association.

Scott discussed the impact of an opinion issued by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit in T-Mobile USA, Inc. v. City of Anacortes that affirmed the City of Anacortes, Wash., violated the federal Communications Act when it denied T-Mobile’s application to install a wireless facility in the city. He provided important guidance regarding the burden on municipalities that deny wireless siting applications.
