"Rainier Scholars’ Careers in Law Panel Discussion," Davis Wright Tremaine, Seattle
The Seattle office of DWT hosted a “Careers in Law” program Tuesday evening, August 4, 2015 to support the great and important work being done by the Rainier Scholars program. The evening consisted of a robust panel discussion and an active networking session, all geared toward providing over a dozen high school students, college students and recent college graduates in the Rainier Scholars program with insights and perspectives on practicing law. DWT summer associate Amanda Hailey and DWT partner Portia Moore joined US District Court Judge Richard Jones, Erin Hebert from Rios & Cruz, and Mark Larrañaga, a partner at Walsh & Larrañaga in a panel discussion moderated by DWT partner Sean McCann. Several in house lawyers from clients Starbucks, Microsoft and Amazon joined as participants in the networking session, generously providing their time and insights with a captivated group of inspiring students. The evening was a great success and will serve as the first of many opportunities for the firm to deepen its support of Rainier Scholars.
