The push for "pay equity" has emerged as one of the most dangerous legal issues for employers in 2016, with potential claims in the multi-million dollar range. Attendees of the first session received a high level overview of the key legal and practical issues. Part II of our webinar series covered how to conduct appropriate, attorney-client privileged compensation analyses, focusing on statistical tools to explain apparent disparities and jobs analyses to determine comparability.
Our presentation focused on:
- The key issues in conducting compensation analyses – do’s and don’ts, dangers and consequences
- Protecting the attorney-client privilege – how to ensure and maintain privileged status
- Statistical analyses – how to explain apparent pay disparities
- Jobs analyses – how to determine whether jobs are substantially similar
- Tips and take-aways – be prepared
