Oregon’s new Fair Work Week Act, also known as the predictive scheduling law, goes into effect on July 1st. The new law may present significant challenges and add cost for employers with over 500 employees and operating in Oregon’s retail, hospitality, or food service industries.
In this webinar, Davis Wright Tremaine attorneys Brent Hamilton and Leah Lively provided an overview of the key provisions of the law to help impacted employers implement systems and processes to ensure compliance.
Note: Oregon’s new predictive scheduling law is effective as of July 1, 2018, and the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries will begin enforcement on January 1, 2019.
