The Los Angeles employment services team of Davis Wright Tremaine held this complimentary half-day program featuring interactive discussions to help clients get back to the basics of avoiding risk.

The event led off with a comprehensive year-in-review session and then launched into an intensive discussion about how to avoid lawsuits by tackling areas with the greatest exposure for employers, including performance management and discipline, complaints and investigations, and terminations. First, we looked at these subjects from a legal perspective, and then we addressed them through the lens of different perspectives of interest to our clients: from a plaintiff’s attorney, outside investigator, and one of DWT's trial defense attorneys.

Davis Wright Tremaine partners Julie Capell and John LeCrone as well as associate Jibraun Riaz led the program. Other speakers included DWT partners Aaron Colby, Emilio Gonzalez, Janet Grumer; and counsel Julie Hall, Karen Henry, Chrissy Roussell, and Giancarlo Urey.
