The San Francisco Intellectual Property Law Association (SFIPLA) presented a virtual CLE panel focused on IP issues and considerations arising out of Section 230. This panel was intended to be useful to practitioners advising on the current and future state of Section 230, and covered the past and present impact and relevance of the law in the IP field.

DWT partner Ambika Kumar moderated the discussion as panelists examined:

  • Origins of Section 230
  • Its relevance to IP law
  • Recent cases on Section 230 and their impact
  • Reform proposals and why this debate matters for IP practitioners and their clients
