Davis Wright Tremaine Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion was proud to welcome members of the DWT Wellness Committee for a presentation on social wellness and its benefits on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. This program was part of our regular DEI Education series.

In the years following the global pandemic, connection has never been more important. The DWT Wellness Committee recognized that need and focused on "Doing Wellness Together," with an emphasis on reducing stress, encouraging family health and fitness, and mental health awareness, among other health related topics. The committee has worked on various supportive initiatives, with an eye on how health disparities impact some groups over others.

During this event, the panel of Wellness Committee members discussed their initiatives, how they incorporate health data to focus on remedying health disparities, how employee benefits impact health outcomes, and their goals for the remainder of 2024 and beyond. We were joined by panelists Veronica Spongberg, HR Manager; Jackie Medina, HR Generalist; Jason Metheny, Sr. Benefits Manager; and moderator Lauren Calogero, DEI Specialist.
