Davis Wright Tremaine Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion was proud to honor Hispanic Heritage Month with a conversation with Dr. Miguel Gallardo. This program is part of our regular DEI Education series.
The complexities of the human experience are informed by background, family and other circumstances. Because each person's experience varies, the need for cultural humility and understanding are paramount. Dive into these topics with Dr. Miguel Gallardo, licensed clinical psychologist and a Professor of Psychology and Director of Aliento, The Center for Latinx Communities at Pepperdine University.
Dr. Gallardo also discussed how to show up authentically as a Hispanic/Latinx person, as well as for all people from traditionally underrepresented groups, and how to use differing life experiences to drive toward success. DWT employment associate Marissa Franco, who serves as co-chair of DWT's Latinx Affinity Subgroup, moderated this discussion.
