Maria Adebayo
Associate
Maria Adebayo is an associate in DWT's technology practice group. She advises technology companies, startups, and investors on technology transactions, commercial agreements, and intellectual property matters.
Before joining the firm, Maria advised companies across the technology, fintech, and private equity sectors on complex commercial transactions involving software, cloud services, data use, and intellectual property licensing. Her experience includes drafting and negotiating SaaS agreements, software licenses, and vendor and outsourcing agreements, as well as other technology-enabled commercial arrangements that support product development, strategic partnerships, and global expansion.
Maria previously practiced in the technology transactions groups of two large international law firms, where she advised public and private companies, financial institutions, as well as private equity sponsors on technology and intellectual property. These transactions included aspects of mergers and acquisitions on top of strategic commercial deals. She also served as assistant general counsel for a private equity portfolio company, advising business, product, and marketing teams on technology, IP, and regulatory issues related to consumer products and digital platforms.
