Makenzie Barron works on the employment litigation team. Before joining the firm, she clerked for judges on the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals and the Florida Supreme Court. Areas of experience include wage-and-hour issues, Jones Act liability, premises liability, and employment and labor issues. Makenzie previously worked in the Alaskan fisheries industry, managing human resources investigations and at-sea worker injury claims for a seafood producer with more than 2,000 employees at 15 production facilities. There, she investigated reports of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation and was involved in employee training and recruitment. She also has experience in the H-2B temporary employment visa process.
