As an experienced insurance coverage litigator with 20 years of in-house experience at Travelers, Nancy Brownstein is keenly aware of the challenges facing her clients. She understands how to evaluate and address problems before they become litigation, and litigates issues when necessary. Nancy’s practice focuses primarily on insurance coverage matters, including cases involving environmental claims, additional insured issues, and bad faith/extra-contractual.

  • Managed multiparty, complex insurance coverage litigation for 20 years in Travelers Environmental Litigation Group from filing of the complaint through the appellate process.*
  • Supervised hundreds of cases across the country involving environmental, construction defect, asbestos, silica and other toxic tort exposures.*
  • Negotiated settlements as well as interim cost sharing agreements.*
  • Provided legal advice to claim account executives handling hazardous waste and pollution claims.*
