Marietta Catsambas represents clients in the media and technology industries, in cases involving defamation, copyright, right-of-publicity, newsgathering, and constitutional matters. She has successfully defended clients in numerous libel actions, and has obtained favorable rulings in actions challenging the constitutionality of state laws and seeking disclosure of public records.
Prior to joining DWT, Marietta clerked at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Between her clerkships, she served as a volunteer attorney at the ACLU of D.C. She was previously an associate at a large international law firm where she worked on complex civil litigation and maintained an active pro bono practice.
