David Cromwell grew up in Montana before setting off for his first career as an athlete, representing his country on the U.S. National Swim Team. After bouncing around the world in that life, he was lucky enough to achieve his next career goal of helping companies work through issues related to intellectual property, technology, data, and marketing.

David’s practice focuses on helping clients develop and launch their products and services, market and sell those offerings, and procure third-party products and services to optimize their business. David loves the diversity of his clients, which range in size from startups to Fortune 500 companies and with offerings all the way from cloud software to outdoor gear.

Licensing agreements

Handled sales, licensing, privacy, and security issues in transactions for organizations both selling their products and services, and purchasing third-party offerings to optimize business. Agreements ranged from developing terms of service for startup companies to negotiating complex, multiparty transactions.

Product counseling

Coordinated legal, engineering, business, and marketing strategy for clients’ compliance with regulatory landscape and consumer expectations. Further worked with clients to ensure such compliance allowed customers to purchase products or services with as little friction as possible.

Marketing support

Advised companies large and small on host of marketing related issues, including those related to data collection and handling, privacy, and security. Drafted and negotiated a broad array of marketing deals, including influencer agreements, joint-marketing agreements, and third-party technology and services agreements.
