Barry Davison, Ph.D., provides clients with sound domestic and international IP advice, strategy, and results by combining extensive Ph.D.-level science experience, with 20 years as a patent attorney practicing at DWT. Barry works with both private- and public-sector companies and universities in many technical areas (e.g., biochemistry, chemistry, molecular biology, nucleic acids, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, genomics, epigenomics, proteomics, transgenics, immunology, vaccines, materials, polymers, and medical devices). Barry’s patent-related practice includes invention assessment, drafting and procurement, licensing, due diligence, portfolio management, legal opinions, defense, and enforcement.

Drafted, procured, and managed international patent portfolio of more than 75 foreign and domestic patents and applications relating to pathogen detection, along with related legal analysis and opinions. Drafting, procuring, and managing international patent portfolio of more than 250 foreign and domestic applications relating to biotechnology and nanotechnology, along with transactions relating to consulting agreements, sponsored research agreements, and license agreements; IP-related legal analysis and opinions.
