John "Jack" Day is an employment litigation attorney. Based out of the firm's Anchorage office, Jack represents clients in a broad range of employment matters in state and federal courts, including discrimination, wage-and-hour, retaliation, and wrongful termination claims.

An Army veteran and skilled writer, Jack brings varied knowledge to his practice. He is experienced in all aspects of civil litigation, including taking and defending depositions, researching and drafting complex motions, responding to and drafting written discovery, preparing clients for trial, presenting oral arguments, and resolving matters through mediation. Outside of employment law, Jack has argued cases involving insurance, liability, and personal injury issues.

As a clerk, Jack helped manage the Alaska court system's mediation program in Anchorage, providing conflict resolution for litigants prior to trial. He also assisted with research and analysis for 10 state judges. Jack has private-sector legal experience – he has drafted contracts, negotiated agreements, conducted research such as title searches for surface and mineral estates, and assisted in other matters specific to oil and gas project development. Before practicing law, Jack worked in the financial sector and served in the U.S. Army for almost six years. During his military service, he was stationed at the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center in North Carolina, where he was a student in the Special Forces Qualification Course, and at Joint-Base Elmendorf Richardson in Anchorage, where he was a Scout Reconnaissance Paratrooper and Non-commissioned Officer.
