Matt Jedreski is a litigator and employment attorney. While his practice centers on traditional employment matters - especially non-compete, single-plaintiff, and trade secret disputes - Matt routinely advises and litigates in other areas, including commercial contracts, elections, securities fraud, Title IX, and challenging local/state laws. He has first-chaired trials in both state and federal court, and regularly represents clients in arbitration and appellate court.

As much as he loves litigating, Matt equally enjoys helping clients avoid litigation by updating them on ever-changing state and local employment laws, and exploring creative ways to improve the workplace and avoid conflict. He’s a member of the firm’s Artificial Intelligence group, in which he tracks and presents on the blossoming landscape of issues facing employers now and in the coming decade. Matt also enjoys a substantial pro bono practice, helping both individuals and organizations like the ACLU.

Practice Highlights

National Voter Registration Act wins

Successfully argued for preliminary injunction in federal court, stopping implementation of a new Indiana law to purge voters from the registration rolls based on unreliable secondhand information they had moved out-of-state. The 7th Circuit affirmed the decision.

Summary judgments

Successfully argued for summary judgment in several disability discrimination and retaliation cases in Chelan County Superior Court, including one case in which the Court found the discrimination claims barred by workers’ compensation preemption.

Trial victories

Achieved multiple verdicts on behalf of King County in criminal felony prosecutions, and multiple civil defense verdicts on behalf of a public entity sued for age discrimination, gender discrimination and retaliation.
