Michael Leone Lynch

Michael Lynch is a dedicated employment litigator and trusted advisor who represents employers in a wide range of workplace-related matters and helps them navigate the full spectrum of workplace legal challenges.

Michael's litigation practice is predominantly focused on single-plaintiff employment litigation in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies, where he has built a reputation as a tenacious and effective advocate. He regularly defends employers against claims of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and whistleblowing retaliation, as well as breach of contract claims, and he is entrusted with high-profile matters requiring strategic, creative, and vigorous defense.

Michael has successfully represented employers at every stage of litigation—from pre-suit demand and administrative agency proceedings to court-filed actions, dispositive motion practice, trial, and appeal. Known for his meticulous preparation and strategic judgment, he regularly delivers favorable results for clients, including through early case resolution, advantageous settlements, and successful motion practice.

In his advice and counsel practice, Michael helps employers resolve workplace challenges before they escalate into litigation and guides them through sensitive internal investigations and employee complaints. He brings thoughtful, practical counsel to each matter.

Michael also serves as a day-to-day resource for human resources professionals and business leaders, advising on compliance with the ever-evolving patchwork of federal, state, and local employment laws, the development and implementation of employee handbooks and policies, and the management of complex leave and accommodation matters. He helps clients stay ahead of the curve with proactive guidance on emerging legal developments that affect their workplaces.

After law school, Michael served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Paul G. Feinman, first at the Appellate Division of the New York Supreme Court, First Judicial Department, and then at the New York State Court of Appeals, New York's highest court.
