For over 25 years, Cameron has defended public companies and financial institutions in high-stakes litigation in state and federal courts throughout the United States.

Cameron represents numerous national and regional securities brokerage firms in litigation and regulatory matters. He counsels broker-dealers with respect to compliance with securities laws and regulations. He regularly defends brokerage firms facing customer complaints in court and arbitration forums.

Over the last 14 years, Cameron has represented a number of large banks in a variety of litigation concerning Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities (RMBS). He has served as defense counsel in over 20 lawsuits against RMBS sponsors and originators. Cameron has also represented originators responding to more than 65 RMBS-related indemnity demands and more than 165 RMBS-related third-party document subpoenas.

In addition to his legal practice, Cameron taught securities regulation at University of Richmond School of Law for three years. Cameron was recently included in the 2024 edition of "The Best Lawyers in America" for Commercial Litigation, Litigation - Regulatory Enforcement (SEC, Telecom, and Energy).
