Mark Murphy handles litigation and arbitration matters for large corporations. He has litigation defense experience in a wide range of disputes, including securities fraud allegations, false advertising claims, insurance coverage, and real estate matters. He has managed numerous JAMS arbitrations that have settled in his clients' favor and drafted motions and appeals in federal courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. Mark also has experience drafting briefs for cases in state and federal appellate courts up to the U.S. Supreme Court. Before joining DWT's litigation team, Mark spent a decade at a global law firm based in Washington, D.C. While in law school, he interned for a refugee and human rights legal organization in South Africa. Prior to law school, Mark taught in Mississippi through Teach For America and later worked for the D.C. Public Schools Office of Special Education.
