Jonathan A. Namazi
Associate
Jonathan Namazi counsels energy clients on transactional, regulatory, and compliance matters, applying his years of experience in the public sector to help them efficiently navigate complex state and federal regulations. Prior to joining DWT, Jonathan served in the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's (FERC) Office of the General Counsel where he advised the Commission on a range of federal energy and environmental statutes including the Federal Power Act, the Natural Gas Act, the National Environmental Policy Act, the Clean Water Act, and the Endangered Species Act.
During his time as an attorney-advisor at FERC, Jonathan's work focused on hydropower licensing and natural gas certificate proceedings. His experience further extends to state regulatory commissions, having served as an attorney with the Public Utility Commission of Texas's Office of Policy and Docket Management where he analyzed legal and policy issues related to electric and water utility projects and provided recommendations to the Commissioners.
